As we approach the Christmas break and look ahead to 2019, we are conscious that this time of the year is not all about festivities and bright beginnings for everyone.  For those of you struggling with debt, such as mortgage arrears, no doubt mounting bills are dampening your spirits.  The best present that you could give to yourself and your loved ones is to confront your debt problems by asking for help.  A plan to become debt free in 2019 can be put in place so that you can lessen the burden before the end of 2018.

If you take nothing else from this insight, remember that you are not alone; we deal with debtors from all walks of life and every corner of Ireland.  Depending on your circumstances and the level of debt, there are four debt solutions available to you.  We will liaise with your creditors and facilitate a solution.  During this time, a protective certificate will be issued and your bank or other lending institution cannot contact you for a specified period of time.  The stress associated with receiving letters about overdue payments or mortgage arrears can be alleviated, which we find gives debtors a break while we work to resolve their debt situation.

Recent research show that there is a 60% increase in the number of debtors securing Personal Insolvency Arrangements (PIAs) since last year.  During Q3 of 2018, 771 debtors applied for debt solution options.  We understand that debt is a private matter, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t share the burden with us.  We provide a free and confidential advice service nationwide and help people just like you every day to plan for a debt free future.
